Hey Y’all – edition one of Feature Friday coming at you from your friends at HGA.

Today, the team is sampling the Sativa hybrid strain Midnight. Sounds spooky, however, it’s anything but. A pleasantly balanced hybrid with mysterious genetics, Midnight is generally known to be a calming, uplifting strain that works great for pain relief, stomach issues, and overall relaxation.

Riley:

Wow, I don’t know what I was expecting but this strain hit me harder than anticipated. Only a couple pulls off the pipe and I was certainly feeling the effects. Relaxed for sure, hazy in the mind yet no couch lock. It definitely helps to calm you down so I can see it being a good strain for overall anxiety or even PTSD.

A little goes a long way with this one, which is great. It falls nicely into the hybrid category as well, with both some sativa and indica being felt. The burn was nice on it too – a smooth smoke overall. Worth giving it a shot especially if you are in need of some relaxation without couch lock and uplifting without overthinking. Wonderful earthy, grass like smell too that I really loved and nice dense buds – really unique.

I give it a 3.5/5 – mostly because it wasn’t the strain for me, but I could see it being great for someone in greater need of its effects.

Jeb:

I love to vape in the evening for relaxation, to help get me to sleep and to have a better quality of sleep overall – this strain being a hybrid I was curious to see how it would affect me. First thing I noticed was the dense buds with lots of crystal. Then the smell hit me – a delicious aroma that I associate with a great kush. That surprised me since the buds look more like a classic hybrid or Sativa formation.

When I grind up a bud of this strain, it fluffs out to double the size and smells even better. I like to vape flowers in my Magic Flight Launch Box and I found the smell and flavour of Midnight make for an incredible experience with my vaporizer. I was actually surprised that while the first round got me really baked, it was a lively creative high that woke me up a bit. It felt great but I was a little worried because I wanted get to sleep soon. However round two got me there and kicked me off into sleepy mode.

I give it a solid 4/5.

Midnight here we go!

I found this strain to be very smooth, and super relaxing! Midnight is the perfect name for this strain. Great for a late night smoke I’d say, with extremely calming effects. There was definitely some couch lock for me though with this one. The ash burned a nice greyish white, but I didn’t find much in terms of flavour.
Overall it was a nice smoke but definitely, bedtime recommended!
